Consultancy
The Company will supply advice and recommendations on procedures, techniques,
and appropriate technologies. Consultants may be tasked with designing
and implementing solutions for clients, and the Company can provide training
and mentoring to ensure that these solutions are used to best advantage.
Software development
Cyberdyne Systems provides software (and hardware) development expertise.
Software can be tailored to a client’s specification by consultants who
will work either as part of an existing team or independently.
Analysis
Cyberdyne Systems can provide specifications analysis skills. This includes
formal methods for confirming that specifications and protocols are unambiguous,
complete and correct, and analysis of cryptographic systems for confirming
the correctness of security claims.
Training and Mentoring
The Company ensures that its consultants have teaching experience, and
many will have worked as professional trainers. The Company offers customized
training for clients in any of its areas of expertise, especially as part
of a package of services.
Mentoring is a particularly effective training technique, where a consultant
spends one or more days with a key individual on a client’s site, teaching
required topics at their own pace. Although typically more expensive than
sending the individual on an equivalent training course, mentoring sessions
are usually more cost effective as there is no time lost covering superfluous
material, the pace is exactly right, and questions can be answered as they
arise. Sessions can also be arranged to occur on non-consecutive days,
if the client is operating on a busy schedule.
